IV in Hospitality
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual
to be competent in skilled operations and team leading or supervision.
Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants,
hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.
Certificate IV in Hospitality has a total of 26 units (or 11 units if
progressing from the Certificate III in Hospitality). The following are

SITXCOM001A - Work with colleagues and customers
SITXCOM002A - Work in a socially diverse environment
SITXCOM003A - Deal with conflict situations
SITXFIN003A - Interpret financial information
SITXHRM001A - Coach others in job skills
SITXHRM005A - Lead and manage people
SITXINV001A - Receive and store stock
SITXINV002A - Control and order stock
SITXMGT001A - Monitor work operations
SITXOHS001A - Follow health, safety and security procedures
SITXOHS002A - Follow workplace hygiene procedures
SITXOHS004A - Implement and monitor workplace health, safety and security
addition to the above 14 core units, a selection of a further 12 units
from food and beverage, accommodation services, gaming and/or general
elective units is required. Approximate duration is 5 months or 3 months
(if progressing from a Certificate III in Hospitality).
Graduates may be able to obtain exemption from units in a subsequent qualification.
After successful completion proceed to Diploma of Hospitality or Diploma
of Management, then Bachelor of Business Administration, then Master of
Business Administration (MBA)/Master of International Business).
